How It Works

Objects are either key indexed or automatically indexed using recognition technology such as bar coding, screen scraping, OCR (optical character recognition) or ICR (intelligent character recognition).

Create and assign personalized metadata to the stored objects, including notations and recommendations, all of which are searchable by their specific values.

Based on user-generated indexing values, the objects are archived within the relevant user-defined FDD File Cabinets.

Drive the search and/or retrieval of an object by a single or several indexing values based on user specificity.

Retrieval access is controlled by user-configured permissions.

Categorize all records in the system. Each category has its own business process route, retention schedule and security scheme.

Track information, including user, time and action, and write to the audit trail when an action occurs.

Feith Document Database (FDD) fully supports Versioning and Check-in/Check-out functionality of objects stored in the FDD repository. Through a seamless integration with the Microsoft suite of Office products, electronic documents and files, including emails, can be stored directly in FDD. Once these objects are stored, they are available to the user community for collaborative processes and can be efficiently managed and distributed using Feith's Workflow iQ product.

Extend the power of Feith Document Database (FDD) to corporate intranets or even to the Internet. WebFDD is the online version of FDD. The only requirement to enjoying this mobile platform is a standard Web browser.

WebFDD users have online access to FDD documents, including COLD pages, scanned images and imported objects.
Add, view, index, annotate, route and print documents via WebFDD.
Objects are still indexed either via key index, or automatically using Feith's recognition technology, such as bar coding, OCR (optical character recognition) or ICR (intelligent character recognition).
Objects are indexed into one of any industry-standard SQL databases.
A full-text database can be utilized in conjunction with the standard database, creating a very powerful search capability.
Retrieval is controlled by user permissions.
Each event is audited in the system to ensure secure access and document integrity.
WebFDD integrates seamlessly with your company's existing LOB systems to provide cost-effective ECM solutions.

Interactive Voice Response - IVR is a multi-line telephone inquiry system that permits document retrieval from FDD via fax from anywhere in the world using a touch-tone phone.
Integrated Fax Solution - provides a server-based solution which accommodates large volumes of simultaneous transmissions, where incoming faxes can be automatically processed, stored and even initiate a workflow via FDD's bar code recognition capability.
